What would be the best move that the Chicago Bulls could make for the upcoming offseason on the trade market is landing veteran star point guard Jrue Holiday from the New Orleans Pelicans. Maybe the biggest point guard name that will be on the trade market this offseason is Holiday. The Bulls should be one of the teams lining up in discussions to try and nab him if that is to be the case.

This core that the Pelicans are building could start getting really expensive, especially with the recent breakthrough this season of former Duke Blue Devils forward Brandon Ingram. The Pelicans could roll with a future core of forward Zion Williamson, point guard Lonzo Ball, and Ingram, and move on from Holiday.

So far this season, Holiday is averaging 19.5 points per game, 4.7 rebounds, and 6.4 assists while shooting 43.9 percent from the field and 34.9 percent from three-point range. Holiday is steady right around his career average with a player efficiency rating of 16.9 and 2.4 win shares so far on the season.

The Bulls need a future solution at point guard, and the 6-foot-7 former Wizards combo guard Tomas Satoransky doesn’t look like the answer. The former North Carolina Tar Heels 6-foot-5 rookie point guard Coby White isn’t the answer yet either. White’s development along with the need to make a jump to playoff contention next season at the very least makes for ample reason to get a star at the position like Holiday.
