To get into the spirit of NBA All-Star Weekend 2020, the developers behind the mobile app Posterized: The Chicago Experience are encouraging fans to vote for the all-time starting five for the city’s natives.

Let’s take a close look at my picks for the all-time starting five to hail from Chicago, the home of the Chicago Bulls.

The developers behind the mobile app Posterized: The Chicago Experience want fans to help nominate the best of the best basketball stars having roots to the Chicago area.

Those that get the most nods will be crowned Feb. 14 during an exclusive, invitation-only event hosted by Jason Goff of NBC Sports Chicago, according to a news release.

The fans will choose from a list of 55 nominees who attended high school in the Chicago area for 4 years. They include the late Ben Wilson, Candace Parker, Anthony Davis, Derrick Rose and more.

The event, put on by the hometown host committee, will treat fans to photographs and autographs from NBA All-Stars, a fun photo booth experience, Chicago-inspired tasty bites and more, according to a news release.

The hometown host committee consists of current and former NBA All-Stars and World Champions who hail from Chicago including Tim Hardaway, Nazr Mohammed, Jahlil Okafor, Shawn Marion, Quentin Richardson, Bobby Simmons and Antoine Walker, according to a news release.

“I’m excited that NBA All-Star weekend is back in my hometown, Chicago, for the first time since 1988,” Walker stated in a news release. “Chicago is a town built on hard work. Many basketball stars are born here, and legends are made. Through Posterized, we want the fans to help us choose the best of the best.”

The event is sponsored by Verizon Wireless with content support from students of Project SYNCERE. Other partners include Crawford Broadcasting stations WPWX Power 92.3 and WSRB 106.3, as well as UCAN, Sunshine Matter LLC, and EnJoy, LLC.

Posterized: The Chicago Experience mobile app is available to both Android and iPhone users.

Without further ado, it’s time to settle the debate. Who’s your pick for Chicago’s all-time starting five?
