Three players stick out above the rest among those that shouldn’t be traded at the 2020 deadline for the Chicago Bulls in the third year of the rebuild.
This is a critical point that the Chicago Bulls are at in their rebuild right now. John Paxson and Gar Forman are coming under a lot of fire from the fan base of late. Even more than they usually do. And the season-worst record of 14-games under .500 could be a big reason why. A culmination of a ton of critical injuries and more goofiness from head coach Jim Boylen could also be adding fuel to the flame for GarPax in the eyes of Bulls fans.
However, GarPax can’t afford to make a tragic mistake that could entail mortgage the future of this Bulls franchise. There’s a couple players that need to stick around in the Windy City heading into the 2020 offseason barring a complete gem haul at the trade deadline. The Bulls still need to keep parts of this young core together that could offer a bright future.
There’s been a handful of big time trade deadline deals made thus far. Of those are the Golden State Warriors sending standout guard D’Angelo Russell to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a trade deal also involving former No. 1 overall pick and small forward Andrew Wiggins. The Houston Rockets also made a big splash deal a few days ago landing Robert Covington from the Timberwolves.
The Miami Heat, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Atlanta Hawks, are just three of the other teams that got involved in big trade deals around this year’s deadline.
Here’s a look into the three players for the Chicago Bulls franchise that should be considered untouchable almost no matter what at the 2020 trade deadline.
