With the Rockets making the first big splash of the 2020 deadline by moving Clint Capella and acquiring Robert Covington, expect Houston to be quiet for the remainder of the week.

Houston is highly unlikely to make another trade this season, but if they did, it would be a very minuscule move to help with depth. Here, the Rockets opt to trade one very limited role player for another in Thabo Sefolosha and Shaquille Harrison.

Shaq Harrison is only of value to Houston in that he is a defensive-minded guard. In the Rockets’ offensive-minded system, a lockdown defender is necessary to have somewhere in the rotation, which they lack as of now. By adding Harrison, the Rockets would be getting a burst of energy off of the bench along with a defender who can guard the one, two, and three with no issues.

With regard to Chicago, adding Thabo Sefalosha could be a wise move if the team still wants to try to compete for the 8th seed in the playoffs. Currently sitting at 9th in the Eastern Conference, a playoff push is very realistic for Chicago, but countless injuries have resulted in a very thin Bulls roster. Sefalosha would be able to fill in at the small forward position while also providing a solid veteran presence, as he has been on multiple teams that made deep playoff runs.

This swap does not make a ton of sense largely thanks to the Capela deal that went down early this morning. However, for the sake of this slideshow and series, a guard and forward swap makes sense for both teams in that they fill a very small void in each of their rosters. Again, do not expect Houston to make another move this season, but if they do it will likely be very small one.
