The fact that the Chicago Bulls aren’t in any reported trade discussions with the Warriors right now to land D-Lo and veteran power forward Draymond Green doesn’t seem to be on the move either, this hypothetical is likely just that and nothing more. GarPax would love a scrappy grind it out veteran like Draymond, though.

There is nothing wrong with the fit that the Bulls would have with D-Lo or Draymond in the Windy City. Both would seemingly fit just fine in a Bulls uniform, especially with what Boylen apparently likes to see out of his players.

But getting the Warriors and Bulls to the table involving pieces like LaVine and Green would be a more than difficult feat. The Bulls aren’t making LaVine very available right now, so they would really have to like what they see out of Russell. Breakthrough shooting guard Alec Burks is just an added bonus for GarPax and the Bulls in these imaginary trade discussions.

What I like about this trade package is the fact that it could give fresh starts to players that could also boost each team. D-Lo could pair pretty nicely with White and 6-foot-7 combo guard Tomas Satoransky. Draymond’s presence could also do wonders for power forward Lauri Markkanen and center Wendell Carter Jr. on the defensive end of the floor.

The Bulls would just be getting a winner (despite his record with the Warriors this season) out of Draymond and a rising star in D-Lo that has reached the heights of an All-Star selection and led his team to the playoffs before. Something that LaVine can’t say, at least yet.

LaVine gets himself into a more beneficial situation with the Warriors where he wouldn’t be counted on as the primary ball handler or facilitator. He could benefit from point guard Stephen Curry and shooting guard Klay Thompson sparking the offense and giving him open looks as a result.
