Chicago Bulls: 2020 Trade Deadline wish list
Who’s out there?
While there’s a lot of big names to watch that carry large price tags in terms of their contracts and asking prices, the Chicago Bulls aren’t really attached to any of them. The Cleveland Cavaliers aren’t going to deal Kevin Love or Tristan Thompson to the Bulls, and Andre Drummond or Derrick Rose from the Detroit Pistons aren’t likely to go from the Motor City to the Windy City.
What are some names to watch that could land with the Bulls in a realistic sense?
Maurice Harkless (Los Angeles Clippers), Small Forward
I already mentioned the possibility of the Bulls trying to snag the former Portland Trail Blazer Harkless from the Clippers. This trade makes a lot of sense straight up for both the Bulls and the Clippers to help each team situationally.
Malik Monk (Charlotte Hornets), Shooting Guard
A recent name to hit the trade market reportedly in talks between the Charlotte Hornets and New York Knicks is the explosive 6-foot-3 shooting guard Malik Monk. Instead of having Monk land with one of the only franchises in the NBA worse than the Bulls, have him land in the Windy City to try and reboot his career.
Jerome Robinson (Los Angeles Clippers), Guard
A player that really needs a change of scenery this year is the former Virginia Tech Hokies guard Jerome Robinson. One of the first trade chips that the Clippers should use in discussions at the deadline is Robinson. He needs a different landing spot than the Clippers, despite all their projected success this year.
Dewayne Dedmon (Sacramento Kings), Center
A really intriguing name that would add a good veteran presence to the frontcourt rotation and help space the floor for the Bulls is Dewayne Dedmon of the Sacramento Kings. He requested a trade, and was fined for it, from the Kings last year. Maybe he could be moved to the Bulls now.
