The Chicago Bulls will look to rebound off of a tough loss when they play the Brooklyn Nets tonight. Here are the latest odds and things to watch for.

Just when it looked like the Chicago Bulls might be turning things around, they blew a late fourth-quarter lead and lost in crushing fashion to a good Indiana Pacers team. Tonight’s game in Brooklyn would be a lot more fun if the Bulls had won that game in Indy, but alas, here we are.

Can Chandler Hutchison stay hot?

Chandler Hutchison is coming off the best game of his young career. Against Indy on Wednesday evening, he dropped a team-high 21 points on a cool 10-of-14 shooting from the field to go along with three rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal. He was simply sensational, getting to the rim whenever he wanted and finishing through contact.

That’s the Chandler Hutchison Bulls fans have been waiting for. Everyone knew he had it in him, he just needed to gain a little confidence. He needed to believe in himself.

Now, with the Bulls’ wing/frontcourt depth still paper-thin, Hutch should see even more time on the floor, both at the three and the four. I’d even love to see him inserted into the starting lineup alongside Tomas Satoransky and Zach LaVine, leaving Kris Dunn to come off the bench and provide sparkplug defense, but I’m not sure that’ll happen anytime in the near future.

If Hutch can continue to build on his increasing confidence, he could be a special player. There’s a reason he was drafted in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft. He has elite size, athleticism and finishing ability at the rim, he just needs to realize that he has those things. He needs to see how important he is to this team.

Bulls odds against Nets

That line feels about right. The Bulls are on the road, coming off a tough loss and severely depleted due to injuries. The Nets are at home, they’ll have the best player on the court in Kyrie Irving, and they’re a well-balanced team.

Prediction: Brooklyn covers the spread.
