As the NBA Trade Deadline approaches, the Chicago Bulls will begin to evaluate their current and future needs to be addressed on February 6.

This season has been a disappointing one to say the least. With the Chicago Bulls currently sitting at the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference, the team has some serious evaluating to do with regard to the outcome of this rebuild. It was the expectation of many Bulls fans that the team would have a winning record and be in a playoff position by now. Especially with the way things are going in the Eastern Conference, there is no excuse as for why Chicago is on the outside looking in.

Nonetheless, the Bulls front office has some though decisions to make at this deadline: mainly whether to be buyers or sellers and to what degree. It is unlikely that the Bulls do nothing come the first week of February, as there have been rumors circling select players on the roster that could very well come into fruition in the coming weeks.

Over the next several days, I will propose one trade between the Chicago Bulls every team in the National Basketball Association grouped by division. Each trade will be analyzed with a thorough synopsis of how each team benefits from the deal. All trades are legal under the NBA’s salary cap and roster number rules.

This series will start with the NBA’s Southeast division, consisting of the Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards, Charlotte Hornets, Orlando Magic, and Miami Heat. This division will provide for multiple different types of trades, as there are both contending teams and bottom feeders in this group.
