The second of two 2020 high school hoops prospects on this list that has already announced their commitment decision and signed their National Letter of Intent, the lengthy 6-foot-6 point guard Cade Cunningham is an early favorite to be the top pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. The Montverde Academy guard and Dallas-Fort Worth native picked the Oklahoma State Cowboys over the likes of Kentucky and the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Cunningham is a very athletic and aware point guard that has some of the best size and physical tools that you will ever see at his position. He has the perfect balance of court vision and driving ability in his game. He’s also a very good defender, rebounder, and overall two-way guard that has the size to guard about anyone on the perimeter.

If Cunningham has a successful one-and-done stint with head coach Mike Boynton and the Pokes, he could solidify his status as the top overall prospect in the 2021 NBA Draft class. The amount of maturity he carries in his game could also make him an immediate impact rookie when his time comes to make that leap to the NBA.

Moreover, Cunningham was selected to participate in the 2020 McDonald’s All-American Game. He will be one of the best player at that event this year. He should also be the early favorite to get the Chicago Bulls pick if he is left wherever they are selecting in the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft.

Cunningham’s draft stock is high early on, but he should only be able to improve in the eyes of NBA scouts from here on out.
