Forward. Undecided. player. 24. Scouting Report. Greg Brown. 2. Pick Analysis

At this point of his recruitment, five-star Vandegrift power forward Greg Brown is one of the most coveted uncommitted 2020 high school basketball prospects left for this recruiting cycle. Brown ranks as the nation’s No. 8 2020 high school prospect and the best at his position. He’s also the top prospect out of the state of Texas.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions do for the Texas Longhorns to land the commitment of Brown over the Kentucky Wildcats. Two other college programs to watch that could make a late run at Brown includes the Auburn Tigers and Michigan Wolverines. But don’t ever count out head coach Penny Hardaway and the Memphis Tigers either.

Nonetheless, the 6-foot-9 and 195 pound forward Brown is about as electric and polarizing as an athlete gets in this 2020 recruiting cycle. He jumps over everyone and caught himself going viral on social media occasionally.

What will impress NBA scouts, especially those of the Chicago Bulls as it pertains to Brown, is his insane leaping ability and two-way potential either as a wing or a true power forward. The three-point shooting numbers for Brown are rapidly improving during his senior season at Vandegrift in Austin, TX, and he’s a capable player on both ends of the floor.

Brown is a good shot blocker and rebounder and his vision is improving. Keep making strides in his transition game and fill out physically, and Brown could be a potential dark horse to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
