There’s a lot going on here, I know.

But the Cleveland Cavaliers make a lot of sense as a potential third team involved in trade talks along with the Clippers and Chicago Bulls. The Cavaliers can offer a lot of trade chips that would valuable for both the Clippers and the Bulls. But most of all, the Cavaliers can make this happen with all the young pieces that would intrigue GarPax.

In this possible trade package, the Bulls land young standout power forward Larry Nance Jr. The Clippers send shooting guard Rodney McGruder and combo guard Shamet to the Cavaliers. The Bulls also send Satoransky and a future first round draft pick. While giving up Nance Jr. can’t be the most ideal situation for the Cavaliers, getting a future first round pick softens the blow.

While landing Nance Jr. pushes the Bulls third-year power forward Lauri Markkanen on the depth chart, it creates a positive presence for this rebuild. Nance Jr. and Markkanen are both solid young talents that still leave a bit to be desired. But the Bulls can get Nance Jr. at a low buy-in since the Cavaliers aren’t finding much success this season.

The other key piece that the Bulls get from the Cavaliers is the rookie shooting guard/wing and former USC Trojan Kevin Porter Jr. This trade proposal really helps Boylen and the Bulls add a lot of wing depth. KPJ can learn under the former Wizard and veteran small forward Otto Porter Jr. once he returns from his foot fracture.
