Chicago Bulls: 3 underrated possible 2020 trade deadline targets
An important trade deadline for the Chicago Bulls should not include any big splash deals with how the block is shaping up at the moment.
An emerging list of possible trade deadline targets for a borderline playoff contending team in the Eastern Conference to pursue this year has to come with a certain goal in mind. The Chicago Bulls could soon find themselves in that type of position.
But the Bulls need to know what they’re looking for so that they can find the best solution to get this team into the playoff picture in the East.
What the Bulls need to find is help for head coach Jim Boylen to plug up this recent string of injuries the team went through. The Bulls should also focus on getting some offensive help to the likes of shooting guard Zach LaVine and power forward Lauri Markkanen.
Of late, the Bulls saw second-year center Wendell Carter Jr. go down with an ankle sprain. Small forward Otto Porter Jr. should also be out for at least another month, and fellow wing Chandler Hutchison spent much of the season injured.
With the Bulls heading into their 39th game of the 2019-20 regular season on Jan. 10 against the Indiana Pacers, the record of 13-25 sounds pretty bad. But the Bulls somehow still remain just four games back of the Brooklyn Nets, despite their five-game losing streak.
The Nets have a good chance to make a run down the stretch, and have a lot more talent in the mix than the Bulls. And even the Orlando Magic are getting hotter than the Bulls right now.
Here’s a look into the three underrated possible 2020 trade deadline targets for the Chicago Bulls less than one month before it arrives.
