The reported open mindset of the Lakers in relation to trading Kyle Kuzma could be something that benefits the Chicago Bulls.
There’s a lot of more intriguing younger players on the trade block this season, as we approach the Feb. 6 deadline, than usual. Since the the trade market this season was not anticipated to have much value, any name that surfaced that could have star potential is worth looking into. The Chicago Bulls should definitely be one of those teams keeping an eye on potential trade targets that arise as we move closer to the 2020 deadline.
According to a report from Sam Amick of The Athletic, one name that is surfacing on the trade market of late is power forward Kyle Kuzma of the Los Angeles Lakers. Kuzma seems to be clashing with superstar forward LeBron James at this point of the regular season, causing some drama around the Lakers locker room.
The Bulls could definitely use a player like Kuzma that could bring immediate value to help them make a true playoff push in the Eastern Conference and benefit them over the long haul. If the Bulls do wind up parting ways with a power forward like veteran Thaddeus Young, then they could have a need to add young depth at the position.
Although Kuzma is not off to his ideal start to the 2019-20 regular season, he still brings a lot of value to the table as one of the better and more versatile 24-year-old power forwards in the NBA today. He’s averaging 12.1 points per game, 3.5 rebounds, and 0.8 assists, while shooting 42.5 percent from the field and 35.4 percent from beyond the arc so far this season.
Anyhow, here’s a look into three potential trade packages between the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers involving the 6-foot-8 power forward Kyle Kuzma.
