Who would be a good candidate for the Chicago Bulls to hand out a 10-day contract to with the deadline starting on Jan. 5?

A fairly important deadline to the depth of NBA teams is about to arrive this weekend. On Jan. 5, all NBA teams will be able to sign various players to 10-day contracts. That will include the Chicago Bulls, who do have depth needs at places like center and on the wing. If the Bulls could stock the cupboard with solid big man and wing talent, this will be a welcome timeline marker.

The Bulls just recalled the previously injured Brazilian big man Cristiano Felicio from the G-League affiliate Windy City Bulls earlier this week. Felicio and second-year small forward Chandler Hutchison were both recalled from the G-League to the Chicago Bulls after a brief stint to get back in rhythm while rehabbing various injuries.

Down the stretch last season, then interim Bulls head coach Jim Boylen was given largely a G-League-level roster talent-wise. The Bulls didn’t give Boylen much of a chance to succeed as the front office mostly wanted to get this team in a good position for a solid draft pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

John Paxson and Gar Forman shouldn’t skimp over this important deadline, that is also very underrated, as the NBA season moves along. The Bulls made a handful of solid G-League moves in the past, and have the chance to make some to get them further into the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference this season.

Here’s a look into the three players that the Chicago Bulls should consider at this point of the regular season to sign to a 10-day contract.
