Maybe the most important month of the Chicago Bulls regular season arrives after the turn of the calendar year, with 17 games on tap for January 2020.

Now that the Chicago Bulls stuck within striking distance of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference this season after the turn of the calendar year, the really difficult part of the schedule begins. The Bulls got their easiest portion of the 2019-20 regular season schedule out of the way last year, so it won’t get any better from here.

However, the Bulls can get off to a solid start if they take care of business at home at the United Center against the Utah Jazz on Jan. 2. But if the Bulls can’t get it done against the Jazz in their first game of the decade, then it could be a really long month.

The Bulls carry a record of 13-21 into the month of January. Head coach Jim Boylen did see his team improve a bit down the stretch in December. But a lot of the wins that the Bulls racked up in December were still a result of a weaker schedule. The Bulls went 7-7 in December. Only one of those seven wins came over opponents with a winning record, which came in shocking fashion against the Los Angeles Clippers.

In the month of January, the Bulls will play 17 games. Nine of those games will come on the road too. Playing nine road games in the span of one month can be difficult. That’s especially true when you have to play three sets of back-to-back games in that month.

Anyhow, here’s a look into the game-by-game predictions for the Chicago Bulls for the month of January.
