Lauri Markkanen lifts Chicago Bulls to 116-81 win in ‘flu game’ against Atlanta Hawks
Third quarter
Between solid defense and offense, the Bulls had every reason to win the game against the Hawks.
Things didn’t appear to click for the Hawks very well in the absence of Young. The guards continued to struggle at racking up the necessary assists to keep the ball and the players moving.
Meanwhile, Carter continued to flex during the game showing off his ability to shoot from distance. He got his feet squared, spotted up and shot from beyond the arc to score another three-pointer. This opened up the floor for him and his teammates in big ways.
NBA Twitter took notice of what Carter did.
Check it out:
As Cody Westerlund of 670 The Score pointed out, Carter matched his career-high for number of three-pointers completed in a game.
And, of course, the praise for Carter kept coming.
Take a look:
As Chuck Swirsky of 670 The Score stated in a tweet, the sight of Carter stretching the floor with a touch of three-point shooting is quite exciting for Bulls fans.
The Bulls’ lead grew to as large as 24 points during this period of time.
The Bulls remained on top 83-65 through the end of the third quarter.
