The biggest trade yet in this list between the Chicago Bulls and the Clippers involves each team exchanging three players. All three players are worth mentioning here too. There aren’t really any players involved that are just thrown in to match aggregate salaries. If the Bulls tossed in a player like former New York Knicks center Luke Kornet or the injured big man Cristiano Felicio, the Clippers would likely waive either.
But the Clippers instead get Dunn in this trade package to go along with the former Wizards 6-foot-7 combo guard Tomas Satoransky and Young. All three of those Bulls players bring a positive defensive presence for the Clippers, and help boost their chances once they’re able to make a true playoff run in the Western Conference.
What the Bulls get in return is a declining former 2018 lottery draft pick, shooting guard Jerome Robinson, and two other players that could really help out this roster. Harkless is involved in all three of the potential trade packages between the Bulls and Clippers. Stud big man Montrezl Harrell is tossed into the mix too, since he’s in the final year of his rookie contract.
The exchange between Dunn and Harrell is interesting here. The Clippers already have a very stout defensive point guard, with veteran Chicago native Patrick Beverley, but Dunn can help makeup a bit for the losses of Harrell and Harkless. Their defensive value is still prominent. But Young and Sato are no slouches on defense either.
