Where could the Chicago Bulls look to generate a potential trade deal involving forward Thaddeus Young going to the Los Angeles Clippers?

According to a report from Dan Woike of the LA Times, the Los Angeles Clippers are interested in a possible trade deal with the Chicago Bulls featuring veteran forward Thaddeus Young. The Bulls and Clippers are both yet to get involved in a big-time trade deal this season. Since so many players worth trading for a good return on the Clippers roster were signed last offseason, they had to wait until Dec. 15 to even deal any of them.

And the Bulls haven’t made a big splash trade since the 2019 deadline. That’s when they landed small forward Otto Porter Jr. from the Washington Wizards in exchange for Jabari Parker and Bobby Portis. That was a good trade for the Bulls at the time, but OPJ has only played in nine games so far this season.

Since the Bulls aren’t utilizing Young to fill their wing depth need in the absence of OPJ and second-year small forward Chandler Hutchison, they might as well trade him. Head coach Jim Boylen is only giving Young slightly more than 21.5 minutes of playing time per game in his first season in a Bulls uniform.

As we move closer and closer to the 2020 trade deadline, more and more rumors are going to arise. Young is one of a number of trade rumors swirling at the moment. Other significant players that could be traded at the 2020 deadline are the New Orleans Pelicans veteran point guard Jrue Holiday and Cleveland Cavaliers star forward Kevin Love.

Anyhow, here’s a look into three potential trade packages that the Chicago Bulls could come up with if they were to deal forward Thaddeus Young to the Los Angeles Clippers amid this trade rumors this season.
