With the 2020 NBA Trade Deadline just around the corner for the Chicago Bulls, where should the front office be looking now?

Although it seems like just yesterday that the Chicago Bulls made the move to send the forward duo of Bobby Portis and Jabari Parker to the Washington Wizards in exchange for small forward Otto Porter Jr., that will be one year ago before we know it. The rumor mill is already beginning to churn at full speed just two months ahead of the 2020 trade deadline.

Moreover, with the Bulls in a weird spot in the Eastern Conference standings after their first 32 games of the regular season. The Bulls enter a key Dec. 28 matchup, where they need a win, against a bad Atlanta Hawks team coming off their Christmas break. There was a long while that the Bulls had off to reflect on what went wrong through their first two-fifths of the regular season.

At this point of the regular season, the Bulls sit 2.5 games back of the Orlando Magic for the eighth and final playoff spot in the East. The Charlotte Hornets and Detroit Pistons are also important teams to watch in the playoff race for the final spot in the East, alongside the Bulls and Magic. The Brooklyn Nets just seem too far ahead in the seventh spot (seven games ahead of the Bulls).

What is also worth following for Bulls fans is how the playoff race impacts the strategies for these four teams on the trade block heading closer and closer to the deadline. An already thin trade market could be very saturated by these four possible suitors in the playoff picture.

Here’s a look into the five biggest trade targets that should be emerging for the Chicago Bulls just two months out from the 2020 deadline.
