A bad loss for the Chicago Bulls against the Charlotte Hornets at home on Dec. 13 was a poor way to prepare ahead of the meeting with the Clippers.

Coming off a tragic 83-73 loss at the hands of the Charlotte Hornets at home at the United Center on Dec. 13, the Chicago Bulls moved their record to a putrid 9-18 on the season. That won’t help the Bulls confidence at all as they move into the second leg of back-to-back games against the stout Los Angeles Clippers.

The main reason why that loss to the Hornets was so bad is the lack of offense. On what was actually a very solid night defensively for the Bulls, head coach Jim Boylen saw his team put that effort completely to waste. The Bulls were horrid shooting from the field, going 30 percent on the night.

Holding the Hornets around 38 percent shooting from the field didn’t matter one bit. And no one scorer really stood out on either team. About the most efficient scorers for the Bulls, forward Thaddeus Young and point guard Ryan Arcidiacono, amassed 22 points while going 9-of-20 from the field combined.

But there’s worse that the Bulls have gone through this season, including their season opening loss to the Hornets. This now makes the Bulls 1-2 on the season against the lowly Hornets. The only time they beat the Hornets was thanks to a huge season-high 49-point outburst by shooting guard Zach LaVine in a 116-115 road win. LaVine hit a game-winning three-pointer in the dying seconds of the fourth quarter to nab that one-point win.

Here’s a look into the three most embarrassing losses for the Chicago Bulls through the first 27 games of the 2019-20 regular season, after their most recent failure against the Charlotte Hornets on Dec. 13.
