3. Zach LaVine

Zach LaVine‘s stock is arguably on the rise as the Bulls hope to make a playoff push, despite the team’s slow start to the 2019-20 season.

LaVine is one of the central pieces the Bulls gained in exchange for trading Jimmy Butler a few years ago. He is, by no means, considered a consolation prize. LaVine possesses both the scoring ability and athleticism that many athletes would long to have.

Entering year No. 3 of its rebuild, the Bulls have high hopes to qualify for the playoffs. It remains unclear if the team’s goal will be fulfilled. If everything goes according to plan, many believe LaVine will need to be one of the main reasons why a postseason appearance is made possible.

Now in his sixth season in the league, LaVine has a lot to prove. For one thing, he is seeking to earn the right to be named an All-Star for the first time in his career.

Another thing is LaVine wants to be viewed as a two-way threat, which is something he is working toward.

Why, you ask?

Many of the league’s best make a difference at both the offensive and defensive ends. Some household names known to satisfy this aim include Kawhi Lenoard and Paul George. It is my hope it won’t be long before LaVine’s name is brought up in the same breath as the latter.

LaVine has long garnered a reputation around the league as a scorer. Applying more effort defensively is hoped to help LaVine as he seeks to become the greatest version of himself.

As his career statistics show, LaVine is averaging 16.4, 3.5 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game.
