4. Lauri Markkanen

Lauri Markkanen, who is commonly referred to as The Finnisher, was sneaky good in his first two seasons with the Bulls.

The Bull have only seen flashes of what Markkanen is capable of, in part, because he’s been limited by injury. He has a nice shooting touch from beyond the three-point line and the ability to handle the ball to get to the rim.

Many people like to draw comparisons between Markkanen and former Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki. Whether he can live up to the hype is not completely known.

Markkanen has struggled to perform well in his third year in the league. Some people would like him to develop a bit of a post-up game to compliment his three-point shooting.

It remains unclear how Markkanen will finish the 2019-20 season, but if the last few games serve as any indication, he’s starting to develop the necessary confidence and rhythm.

In his career statistics, Markkanen is averaging 16.3 points, 8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.

Markkanen was originally acquired by the Bulls in the Jimmy Butler trade. Since then, he has become part of the young core in which fans are growing excited to watch.
