Kevin Love is going to be one of the most often-discussed trade pieces on the block right now. Should the Chicago Bulls jump into the conversation?

The hot rumor right now swirling around the NBA trade block involves veteran star forward Kevin Love and the Cleveland Cavaliers. There should be a lot of teams calling the Cavaliers about what trade packages they would be willing to work with involving Love, especially once that Dec. 15 deadline passes that allows the 2019 free agent signings to be traded too. Could one of those teams involved in the Love trade discussions be the Chicago Bulls?

Something has to give for the Bulls right now after their latest loss. It is completely embarrassing that head coach Jim Boylen and the Bulls had their regular season series swept by the Golden State Warriors. The Bulls felt short against the lowly and shorthanded Warriors in a Dec. 6 home meeting at the United Center by the final score of 100-98. At least this loss to the Warriors didn’t come by a double-digit margin, like the one on the road last month did at the Chase Center.

However, it’s hard to imagine that all the Bulls problems could be fixed just with one trade to land a borderline star power forward and a veteran like Love. But the Bulls have to try something if the goal that John Paxson and Gar Forman set at the beginning of the season to make the playoffs is to actually pan out.

The rumor that the Cavaliers are shopping Love in the first place came thanks to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Since the Cavaliers are starting to fall back in the Eastern Conference standings, it makes sense for them to go through a full youth movement.

Nonetheless, here’s a look into three possible trade packages that the Chicago Bulls could put together to land power forward Kevin Love from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
