2. Rodney Hood, Small Forward

Current Team: Portland Trail Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers just took care of business twice in the same of less than one week. That included beating the Chicago Bulls at home at the United Center by the final score of 117-94. And they mopped up the Bulls by the final score of 107-103 at the Moda Center last week to complete the season sweep.

However, with the recent jump in the Blazers success comes the rise of two forwards. Small forward Rodney Hood and the recently signed power forward Carmelo Anthony took off of late for the Blazers and are a large reason why they’re finally starting to climb up the Western Conference standings.

But only one of the two aforementioned forwards for the Blazers should be a trade target of the Bulls to both help out their wing depth and improve their overall shooting. Hood is really hot of late, shooting better than 49 percent from three-point range and better than 51 percent from the field. While that torrid shooting percentage might slow down soon, Hood is an ever-improving shooter and decision maker with the ball in his hands.

A draft with the Blazers might involve more future draft assets and an abundance of other players, but if it were to happen, then Hood should be a key piece of the framework. He plugs two big holes for the Bulls. And his length and quickness makes it so that the Bulls wouldn’t have a detriment with him on defense either.
