player. Forward. Memphis. Precious Achiuwa. 7. 24. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

For those who feared that Precious Achiuwa would suffer a similar fate as Nassir Little, consider your concerns addressed. Achiuwa has looked very good for the Memphis Tigers amidst the Wiseman drama, averaging 15 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and .8 blocks on 55% shooting from the field.

He has silenced the concerns about his offensive ability, although he has yet to make a three pointer this season on a whopping 2 attempts. This will certainly need to change at the professional level, but one cannot expect Achiuwa’s development to finish overnight.

Whether Otto Porter is the answer at small forward in the future or not, the Bulls absolutely need some depth behind him. Although the comparison is thrown around a bit too often nowadays, Precious shows shares some similar attributes with Kawhi Leonard. The 6ft 8 inch forward is a phenomenal defender and athlete.

This coupled with a vastly improving offensive arsenal, Achiuwa could shoot up draft boards. With Porter only having one more year after 2019-2020 on his contract, sitting Achiuwa for a season behind him could pay dividends for them.

Guard. 69. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. R.J. Hampton. 8. player. New Zealand

Although a truly great player, Jrue Holiday doesn’t exactly fit the timeline that David Griffin and the New Orleans Pelicans are on. Thus, finding an eventual heir to the former UCLA Bruin is something worth looking at for the Pelicans. R.J. Hampton provides a high ceiling player who possesses a similar skillset to Holiday as a combo guard that could ease the transition for the young squad .

Hampton, currently playing overseas in the NBL, is averaging 9.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.3 steals on 44% shooting from the field and 35.5 percent from deep in only 22 minutes of action per contest. His limited play time and lack of an infamous family have prevented him from receiving the level of hype that Ball has reached, but Hampton has played very well with grown men in the NBL and is on track to find similar success in the NBA.
