Power forward: Pau Gasol (2014-2016)
17.6 PPG, 11.4 RPG, 3.4 APG, 17.5 WS, 22.2 PER
It’s weird to think that the potential future Hall-of-Fame power forward Pau Gasol was only a three-time All-Star selection this decade. In his career in-total, Gasol is a six-time All-Star. He also has Rookie of the Year honors, two All-NBA Second Team nods, and two All-NBA Third Team nods in his pro career.
The career could soon be drawing to an end for Pau, as he was just waived by the Blazers. Interestingly enough, one of the big men the Blazers brought in to fill that void depth in the frontcourt was a player who the Bulls waived last season, 34-year-old forward Carmelo Anthony.
The Bulls had a nice frontcourt pairing in the mid-2010’s between Noah and Gasol. Two of the All-Star selections that Gasol had in the 2010’s were with the Bulls too. He was a machine in terms of shooting percentages too. Gasol shot 48 percent from the field, 38 percent from three-point range, and 80 percent from the free-throw line.
There’s no question that the Bulls All-Decade Team for the 2010’s would have to include Gasol. He posted a season with at least 10.0 win shares, which only happened four times for the Bulls this decade. The advanced analytics loved Gasol too. He actually has the highest player efficiency rating of any on this list for the Bulls throughout the 2010’s.
