The bench

The Chicago Bulls did have one of the deeper and better rosters under former head coach Tom Thibodeau throughout the early 2010’s. There is a lot of talent and depth to form a solid bench for the Bulls All-Decade team throughout that time. I’m going from the 2010-11 season (mostly) up to today to form this group. A solid string of games in the latter part of the 2009-10 season counts too.

There will be a five man bench and a separate part of the team with the sixth man.

1. Carlos Boozer, Power Forward (2010-2014)

15.5 PPG, 9.0 RPG, 2.0 APG, 22.6 WS, 17.4 PER

2. Taj Gibson, Power Forward (2009-2017)

9.4 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 1.0 APG, 36.8 WS, 15.3 PER

3. Kyle Korver, Shooting Guard (2010-2012)

8.2 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 1.6 APG, 10.4 WS, 13.2 PER

4. Nate Robinson, Point Guard (2012-2013)

13.1 PPG, 2.2 RPG, 4.4 APG, 5.9 WS, 17.4 PER

5. Nikola Mirotic, Power Forward (2014-2017)

11.4 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 1.3 APG, 15.4 WS, 16.6 PER

A solid bench for the Bulls features five players that all had different pedigrees in the Windy City. Power forwards Carlos Boozer and Taj Gibson are probably the names that stick out most on the list. But Nikola Mirotic was another solid Bulls power forward for slightly less than four seasons. Point guard Nate Robinson had one incredible season off the bench and shooting guard Kyle Korver was productive in two seasons off the bench at the two spot.

Next, we move on to the player that would be the ultimate sixth man for the Bulls from the 2010’s All-Decade Team.
