2. Zach LaVine

Previous ranking: 2

Zach LaVine and Devin Booker are two guys that were often compared until this season. What happened? Devin Booker took a leap forward. Zach LaVine took a step backward.

Booker has now proven he can be a good player on a team that wins ball games. Right now, LaVine hasn’t shown that he can actually be a winner. I think it’s coming, though. I believe in him.

Zach’s shown flashes of brilliance this season. On November 23, he dropped 49 in Charlotte behind one of the most impressive shooting performances in NBA history. Oh yeah, and the Bulls won.

I wouldn’t expect LaVine to have many more nights where he knocks down 13 threes, but I hope he can be that alpha dog that takes over at the end of games like he did in Charlotte. He has the talent to be that guy. He just has to stay locked in.
