6. Kris Dunn

Previous ranking: 8

I’ve been eating a large amount of crow over the course of the Bulls’ first 20 games. I spent all summer saying the Bulls should move on from Kris Dunn. I said he has no role on this team. I said he’d be better off in a different team’s colors. I was completely wrong.

Dunn has been the biggest surprise of the Bulls’ young season so far. He has accepted his bench role completely, playing awesome defense and competent offense — the perfect combination for KD.

In May of 2018, I wrote about how the Bulls needed to find their own version of Marcus Smart. Kris Dunn isn’t close to that level yet, but he’s getting closer than ever.

Dunn has all of a sudden become one of the most important players on the Bulls’ roster. If he keeps improving, he might fully earn his way back into the hearts of Bulls fans. He’s already earned his way back into mine.
