There’s a very close margin for the Chicago Bulls with the No. 7 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. While WCJ was their original pick and looks to be one of their very best players this season, other needs emerged. Boylen and the Bulls need help all over the place.

While it’s hard to ignore the Bulls drafting for the need of wing depth, they should go with the best player available on the board. The top candidate here should be the former Alabama Crimson Tide point guard and the first round draft pick of the Cleveland Cavaliers in last year’s draft, Collin Sexton.

The Cavaliers picked Sexton just after the Bulls selected Carter Jr. in the draft lottery last year. And he would bring that solid scoring presence to the table that the Bulls so desperately need this season. Sexton is averaging 17.8 points per game while shooting better than 44 percent from the field. His three-point shooting should pick up in due time too. He shot better than 38 percent from downtown during his rookie season.

You also have to consider the need the Bulls were drafting for last season. They needed a point guard, and that positional void surfaced early on in the 2018-19 regular season. Sexton would fill that need and his versatile offensive arsenal could add a new dynamic to this Bulls team.

It is neck and neck between Sexton and Carter Jr. in this re-draft of the seventh overall pick for the Bulls. But it makes slightly more sense to free up power forward Lauri Markkanen and let Sexton command this offense.
