It’s too early to tell who the best players in the 2019 NBA Draft class will be, but the Chicago Bulls could have an interesting redraft from both rounds.
A rough 6-12 start through 18 games for the Chicago Bulls this season could spell trouble moving forward. The Bulls came up with a bad 117-94 home loss at the United Center on Nov. 25 at the hands of the Portland Trail Blazers that moved them to a dozen losses early in the regular season.
Could one answer to the Bulls struggles be reordering the rotation under head coach Jim Boylen?
Given the inconsistent play from rookie point guard Coby White and big man Daniel Gafford, maybe that is one solution. But Gafford is showing more of an immediate impact potential than any team could realistically hope out of a second round draft pick in his rookie season. And the Bulls fans and coaches should know that developing White would be a patient process.
However, the question will always arise as to whether the Bulls made the right decision with their lottery pick. The Bulls picked up White with the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and Gafford was picked at No. 38 in the second round.
Both White and Gafford showed flashes of brilliance for where they were selected in the draft, but nothing consistent as of yet. And that is to be expected. They shouldn’t be the best players on this Bulls team as of yet.
If each of the first seven picks in the 2019 NBA Draft, and the No. 38 selection, were redone what would it look like today?
(Of course this list will keep an emphasis on the Chicago Bulls).
