Former Bull Dennis Rodman took to the deep end addressing the good, the bad and the ugly of his life’s story in a recent episode of “Cold As Balls”.
Let’s take a close look at what former Chicago Bulls star Dennis Rodman shared.
Viewers saw Rodman take an icy dip into a tub of cold water to dish about everything from romancing Carmen Electra and meeting North Korea’s Kim Jung Un to getting jailed and donning a wedding dress.
Hart touched base with the former Bull hoping to bring his distinctive style and personality to the screen.
And, of course, Rodman did not disappoint.
In an approximately 12-minute segment, Rodman allows Hart to interview him while sitting side by side in tubs of ice water.
First up, Rodman’s arrest history is questioned.
Rodman did not have a prepared response to offer immediately. Instead, he reveals that he’s been arrested more than 100 times over the course of his life.
This might seem outlandish to some people, but given that we’re speaking of Rodman, it’s not as big of a stretch to believe.
Rodman shed further light, speaking of his lifestyle and how it consisted at one point of partying excessively 7 days per week for 7 years.
When asked about playing for the Bulls, Rodman took viewers down memory lane to recount his time with the team and how they acquired him.
Years ago, Rodman was traded by the San Antonio Spurs to the Bulls.
"“In San Antonio, Gregg Popovich was the GM,” he said. “He didn’t like me at all. I wasn’t the church-going guy. … Popovich wanted me to get out of there so bad, so he traded me for Will Purdue.”"
Rodman said he felt welcomed by the Bulls from Day No. 1 when the team hosted an introductory press conference. This is not surprising, at least in my opinion. At times, Rodman overshadowed Michael Jordan as the face of the Bulls. The energy and toughness he brought to the team was contagious.
Hart asked Rodman of his friendship with Kim Jung Un and how it got started.
Rodman recounted his visit with the leader of North Korea. He admits it was a bit of a surprise meeting. Rodman reveals that Jordan was originally asked to make the trip to North Korea, but he declined to go.
"“I immediately said yes,” he said, noting he thought he was going to an autograph show."
The meeting was a bit of a culture shock for Rodman. When Rodman spotted the leader of North Korea, someone told him that this is their Supreme Leader.
A short time later, the two started talking to one another.
"“We became good friends after that,” Rodman said."
Rodman and the leader of North Korea still remain in contact. The last time the two spoke is last year.
"“They always call,” Rodman said."
Rodman told Hart that he believes all of his phone calls are tapped because of his friendship with the leader of North Korea.
At that time, the interview took a turn. Hart usually allows guests to ask questions of him toward the end of each segment.
That did not take place this time around.
Hart proceeds to wrap up the interview in an abrupt yet joking manner fearing certain people are listening.
"He explained in jest, saying “Kim Jung Un, I’m not your problem.”"
New episodes of “Cold As Balls” are scheduled to air each Tuesday on Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud channel, the Laugh Out Loud app and LaughOutLoud.com, according to a news release. Upcoming guests include Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, Olympic athlete Lolo Jones, former WWE champions the Bella Twins, FOX Sports sideline reporter Erin Andrews, “Fortnite” legend Ninja, and more.
