2. Zach LaVine

No Bulls player had fans more excited for the 2019-20 season than Zach LaVine. He posted cool workout videos in the summer and tore up the preseason. This looked like the year he was going to take the leap. I thought he’d be an All-Star, and I thought he’d lead the Bulls to a playoff spot. Now, 10 games into the season, it’s not looking great for either of those things.

LaVine is averaging 19.5 points per game on .426/.359/.757 shooting splits to go along with 4.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists. All of those numbers are worse than they were last season. So much for taking the leap.

The first thing Zach can do to get things back on track? Attack the basket. He’s only averaging 12.1 drives per game. For reference, James Harden is driving more than anyone this season at 22 drives per game.

Once Zach starts driving more, that should open up more of the deep looks that he loves so much. For now, though, he needs to lay off the tough jumpers and attack the rim. That’s where he’ll make his money.
