2. Dave Joerger

Current Position: N/A

Head Coaching Record: 245-247

The fact that the Sacramento Kings elected to part ways with former head coach Dave Joerger was stunning in and of itself. The Kings replaced Joerger with the former Lakers head coach Luke Walton.

Joerger made the Kings one of the most fun teams to watch in the NBA last season. That’s how so many claimed them as their favorite ‘NBA League Pass’ team. Walton just isn’t bringing that same level of pace and efficiency on the offensive end as Joerger did scheming up the Kings last season.

But this team isn’t looking near as fluid on either end of the floor as they were last season. There is ample opportunity to make headway in the standings out West with teams like the Golden State Warriors and the Grizzlies falling off.

Speaking of the Grizzlies, the three season coaching tenure Joerger had in Memphis saw him appear in the playoffs each year. He didn’t get there once with the Kings, but he even made it to the second round once with the Grizzlies.

No matter where he lands, Joerger seems to have an entertaining team to watch.
