Although unlikely, if the Kings ended up picking in the top-ten, they will be stuck in a very tough situation. Addressing the frontcourt would be a wise move for Sacramento, and more specifically the center position so that second year standout Marvin Bagley III could move over to his natural position of power forward. Thus, adding a center would be the best approach for the Kings.

However, this draft is very weak at the center position. Because they are unable to trade their first rounder in consecutive seasons, the Sacramento would likely take the best frontcourt player available in Jaden McDaniels.

The brother of Charlotte’s 52nd overall selection Jalen McDaniels, Jaden was the 8th ranked player in the country and committed to play at the University of Washington. He will form a frontcourt with Isaiah Stewart that has the potential to be the best in college basketball.

McDaniels is a fluid offensive player who has the ability to score in nearly every way. He follows the form of the modern NBA stretch-four, possessing the ability to dribble and space the floor.

McDaniels’ woes mostly derive from his size. Although he possesses great length at 6ft 10, he only weighs 201 pounds, and it shows. His offensive skillset is subsequently limited to the perimeter and mid-range shot.

His lack of weight and strength also cause him to have trouble defending on the low block. However, he is more than certainly capable of being successful professionally regardless of his physical attributes.
