Best of the rest
The 15-man roster for the Chicago Bulls features a lot of talent and depth for head coach Jim Boylen compared to what was available for him, and former head coach Fred Hoiberg, the previous two seasons. But the G-League affiliate Windy City Bulls has plenty of intriguing names that could be future trade pieces for this front office.
Adam Mokoka, Shooting Guard
The first player that the Chicago Bulls have on a two-way contract that could generate future buzz as a role player is the French native 6-foot-5 shooting guard Adam Mokoka. In the Las Vegas Summer League and the preseason, Mokoka did show a good amount of potential to become a well-rounded two-way shooting guard or wing.
Max Strus, Shooting Guard/Wing
The former Boston Celtics shooting guard/wing during Summer League Max Strus brings a pretty intriguing microwave scoring presence to the Windy City Bulls. Strus played well during his Summer League stint with the Celtics, and even showed flashes during the preseason. If he can turn into a solid spot-up shooter in the NBA as a two-guard or wing off the bench, he should find a role quickly.
GarPax used their second two-way contract slot to sign Strus. Since the Bulls did have a pretty large hole to fill within this organization in terms of wing depth, signing a two-year solid DePaul starting guard like Strus made a lot of sense. And much like Mokoka brings to the table for the Bulls in terms of trade value, Strus wouldn’t generate much buzz right away but could down the road in a year or two if he surprises people through his journey to the NBA.
