4. Coby White, Point Guard
Once again, there’s a big gap between the trade value of one spot on this list for the Chicago Bulls and the previous player. Young, Satoransky, and Porter Jr. were recent acquisitions for the Bulls and wouldn’t draw near as much appeal in a potential trade package as the final four players on this list.
However, the Bulls do have a lot of trade chips to work with if they do decide to make a splash move once the deadline runs up in December to shop 2019 free agent signings on the open market.
Who would that be ideally if the Bulls were to make that move?
Former North Carolina Tar Heels point guard, and the seventh overall pick of the Bulls in the 2019 NBA Draft Coby White is off to a good start. The way that White is trying to prove himself as a leader throughout Summer League, the preseason, and the start of the regular season should inspire confidence that he’ll be ready for a bigger role soon enough.
Through six games during his rookie season, White is averaging a whopping 19.1 points per 36 minutes, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.1 steals. He has a defensive rating of 112, which is also better than anticipated during his rookie campaign. The three-point shooting (at slightly above 28 percent) isn’t ideal, but there’s plenty of value that White’s bringing early on that’s coming along sooner than expected.
