6. Thaddeus Young, Forward

The one of the three big Chicago Bulls free agent additions from the offseason that came through consistently thus far is the former Pacer and veteran forward Young. Thad is a known commodity as a solid two-way forward that can either contribute to his team as a starter or in the role of a sixth or seventh man off the bench.

So far this season, Young is averaging 11.0 points per game, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. His player efficiency rating of 16 is sitting right around his career mark of 16.4. But the best part of his game so far is that he is shooting well over 40 percent from three-point range and a resounding steal rate better than two percent.

It wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense for the Bulls to proactively attempt a trade package involving Young during his initial season in the Windy City. Putting him in the mix as part of a larger trade package would make the most sense. If there was a team that needed to fill a void exactly like what Young brings to the table, then he could be on the move in a perfect return for the Bulls.

Given how much stability Young brings for the Bulls on both ends of the floor, trading him would be less than ideal. But his price tag (less than $15 million per year) and veteran presence would be attractive for almost any suitor that would be in trade talks with the Bulls. GarPax would be foolish to trade him, though, unless it is part of the perfect return.
