Chicago Bulls: Ranking trade value of every player on the roster for 2019-20
7. Tomas Satoransky, Combo Guard
Two of the three free agent signings for the Chicago Bulls haven’t worked out as planned through six regular season games. The one that might be the most surprising that hasn’t gone planned thus far is the Czech combo guard and the towering 6-foot-7 Satoransky. Kornet was more disappointing than Kornet up to this point, though.
Coming off a nice stint where he was one of the world’s best players in the FIBA World Cup, Satoransky did need rest but looked primed for a breakout season in a Bulls uniform. The Czech Republic even finished with a better placing in the FIBA World Cup over in China than the talented United States. But Team USA didn’t come out with near their best squad possible.
This isn’t necessarily to say that Satoransky played poorly to start this regular season, but he hasn’t lived up to the billing he brought with him from the Wizards in a number of ways. His field goal percentage leaves a ton to be desired, as it sits below 32 percent right now. The offensive rating also isn’t great, at 105.
For a player like Satoransky that was anticipated to come into free agency last offseason with a price tag of at least $15 million per year, the contract he’s on now would still be very sought after in a trade deal. Satoransky joined the Bulls on a sign-and-trade deal with the Wizards for three years, worth a total of $30 million. But the last $10 million only has half of the amount guaranteed.
