Finding the right trade package to land a star for the Chicago Bulls could be a good mission for John Paxson and Gar Forman this season.
There’s a big difference in the NBA today between how likely a player is to get shopped on the trade block by a team like the Chicago Bulls and how much value they carry in the eyes of every front office. John Paxson and Gar Forman were busy since the trade deadline last season, back in February, in trying to build this roster heading into the third-year of the rebuild.
The Bulls landed the former Washington Wizards small forward Otto Porter Jr. last season at the trade deadline. They also made the nice moves to sign free agents like guard Tomas Satoransky, forward Thaddeus Young, and center Luke Kornet. Although those three free agent signings brought mixed results thus far, they signaled more functionality during the summer out of a widely and often criticized front office.
If the Bulls are able to continue their trek into playoff contention in the Eastern Conference, like many expected them to coming into the regular season, then hitting the trade market hard could be the way to go. But the Bulls have to know what they have to offer in any potential trade package for this season before they can decide on what would continue to benefit this rebuild.
Here’s a look into the definitive ranking of the trade value of every single player on the Chicago Bulls 15-man roster a handful of games into the 2019-20 regular season.
