The Southeast Division is one of the worst in the NBA this season, and that is partly thanks to the rapidly declining Washington Wizards. The Chicago Bulls were able to take complete advantage of the Wizards unloading a lot of players last season and during the offseason by trading for guard Tomas Satoransky and small forward Otto Porter Jr.
However, back in 2010 was right before the Wizards were trying to build around their current starts in point guard John Wall and shooting guard Bradley Beal. Granted it seems like the Wizards are building around just Beal right now due to that horrible torn Achilles that Wall suffered last season.
Back in the 2010 NBA Draft, the Wizards had neither drafted Wall yet nor Beal. Those two were preceded by a former Bulls first round pick that was traded to the Wizards with power forward/center Kevin Seraphin.
The real question here is should the Bulls have traded that pick where they landed Seraphin or was there someone on their radar that was worth drafting and keeping around?
Once again, the other player worth selecting in this draft at pick No. 16 for the Bulls would’ve been a point guard. They already had D-Rose in the mix, so the need to add a guard like Eric Bledsoe didn’t make a whole lot of sense. Still drafting him, just like Jrue Holiday, could’ve worked out well in the long run.
