3. Bring a wing back from overseas
There’s a good amount of wing talent that wound up overseas during the offseason. One prominent former member of the Chicago Bulls, forward Nikola Mirotic, landed overseas when he could’ve re-signed with a number of NBA suitors. He was most likely the most interesting case that landed outside of the NBA during the summer.
One very intriguing option the Bulls could try and land is the former Wizards and Houston Rockets forward Sam Dekker. The 6-foot-9 former Wisconsin Badgers forward would be welcome back to Big Ten country and brings that physical presence that would be very valuable for Boylen and the Bulls along with a decent offensive skill set.
But it might be past that time when the Bulls are really able to key in on players that signed to play overseas instead of in the NBA. Dekker is an interesting option, but might be unrealistic at this point. That could also ring true for a number of the wings the Bulls could target that are playing overseas.
Most of the time when a team like the Bulls needs wing depth, most of the talent they would otherwise pursue already went to play with the best teams overseas. Might as well make the best use of players like the former Vanderbilt Commodores shooting guard Wade Baldwin and the former Michigan Wolverines lights out shooter Nik Stauskas.
