The Chicago Bulls lost their first game of the 2019-20 season in disappointing fashion. Here are player grades from their opening night.

Chicago Bulls fans were beyond hyped for the start of the 2019-20 NBA season. The team was finally ready to compete, and they were lucky enough to open the season against one of the worst teams in the league.

Unfortunately, Bulls fans walked away from this game feeling let down and dissatisfied.

The Bulls dug themselves a hole right away. They were battling foul trouble and still trying to shake off some rust early on.

Chicago would end up getting back in the game and taking a 10 point lead midway through the fourth quarter, but a lack of composure down the stretch and a 3-point barrage from Charlotte would end up spelling doom for Lauri Markkanen and Co.

Here are player grades from the 126-125 loss.

D+. <a href=. Guard. Chicago Bulls. ZACH LAVINE

B+. <a href=. Guard. Chicago Bulls. COBY WHITE

C. <a href=. Wing. Chicago Bulls. OTTO PORTER JR.

Guard. Chicago Bulls. KRIS DUNN. B+. I really, really like <a href=

A. Lauri Markkanen shined the brightest for the Bulls tonight. He struggled to shoot the ball from deep (1-of-7), but he was brilliant in every other way. He finished the game with 35 points on an efficient 13-of-25 shooting from the field to go along with 17 rebounds and only one turnover. If he keeps up that same level of aggression, he’ll have a fantastic season.. Forward. Chicago Bulls. LAURI MARKKANEN

The Bulls will look to bounce back Friday night on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies.
