Is this the season where the Chicago Bulls finally make that elusive push back to the playoffs in the Eastern Conference in the rebuild’s third year?

We’re just one day away from the tip off to the 2019-20 regular season for the Chicago Bulls. That season opener falls on Oct. 23 on the road against the Charlotte Hornets. The Bulls will take to the Spectrum Center with the hopes to begin their quest to topping their 22-win mark from last season. They have a great chance to come out of the gates sting this year.

The preseason slate for the Bulls rounded out with a 2-3 record, including the finale win at home at the United Center over the Atlanta Hawks. The other preseason win for the Bulls came over the defending NBA Champions Toronto Raptors. And the three losses came at the hands of the New Orleans Pelicans, Indiana Pacers, and Milwaukee Bucks.

Moreover, the Bulls did get valuable exposure against quality Central Division competition during the preseason. Really the only game where the Bulls were truly bad was against the Pacers. And head coach Jim Boylen mostly had players deeper down the 20-man Training Camp roster on the floor in that loss in Indiana.

There’s a lot more excitement surrounding this Bulls team entering the 2019-20 campaign comparatively to the last two seasons. The Bulls were really bad for the last two seasons too. Thanks to a handful of nice offseason moves by John Paxson and Gar Forman, the Bulls could actually make a playoff push this season.

The door to playoff contention in the Eastern Conference has not been more wide open for a rebuilding Bulls team in recent memory than it is this season.

Here’s a look at five bold predictions for the Chicago Bulls just ahead of the start of the 2019-20 regular season.
