It seems like the Brooklyn Nets are greatly undervaluing what the former Texas Longhorns center Jarrett Allen brings to the table. The Nets might be starting the former Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks center DeAndre Jordan after he signed with the team during the offseason. But Allen surely has more room to improve and a higher ceiling this season than Jordan.

The Nets do have a lot of potential to contend for an NBA Championship in the near future. They landed two huge free agents over the summer in the former Boston Celtics superstar point guard Kyrie Irving and the former Golden State Warriors transcendent forward Kevin Durant. Signing Jordan was also one of those key moves during the summer.

If the Nets feel that Jordan is worth starting for the entirety of the next two seasons at the five, they might think about seeing what they could get in return for Allen. If that move comes available to the Chicago Bulls, then adding depth to the frontcourt with a center that has as much potential as Allen would be a great way to go.

Basketball Reference projects Allen to finish the 2019-20 campaign with 15.4 points per 36 minutes, 11.1 rebounds, 2.1 blocks, 1.9 assists, and 0.8 steals. Those projections also have Allen coming out with an insane .158 win shares per 48 minutes. That would be a lot of value to bring to the Windy City for a long time.
