All the roster pieces the Chicago Bulls landed along with future draft assets they have can be used as bargaining chips soon to vault the rebuild.

Taking the Chicago Bulls from the point of borderline playoff contention in the Eastern Conference as a dark horse for the seven or eight seed to solidifying themselves as a top five team would involve patience through the NBA Draft or landing a young and promising talent. The Bulls are a star away from truly making a push against the Indiana Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks for the Central Division crown.

Given that the Bulls sit amid little trade rumors at the moment, John Paxson and Gar Forman would have to get proactive on the open market to make something happen. Granted it might be nice for the Bulls to be patient and see where this season takes them with a much improved roster from solid free agency signings during the offseason.

However, if the Bulls are in fact in playoff contention already this season, why not use all the good contracts on the books to make something happen. The point of this rebuild was to get a player that would have more potential to reach superstar status than former Bulls wing Jimmy Butler had during his time in the Windy City.

If the Bulls were to hit the trade market to find answers to reach that next level in the East, then finding underrated young and potent talents makes the most sense. Who could those names be that arise this season?

Here’s a look into the five definitive potential trade targets that could vault this Chicago Bulls rebuild further into playoff and/or title contention out of the Eastern Conference much quicker.
