1. Tomas Satoransky, Point Guard

Two mediocre outings from the player that could be most likely the prized signing of the Chicago Bulls from the summer doesn’t inspire much confidence in 6-foot-7 combo guard Tomas Satoransky out of the gate. But Satoransky is coming off a nice run with the Czech Republic in the FIBA World Cup that saw them finish in sixth place.

Entering the FIBA World Cup, the Czech Republic wasn’t even ranked among the top 15 countries in the world. As their leading scorer and assist-getter, Satoransky was pivotal to their success and showed that he could lead a team while playing against solid competition on a big stage.

All that was an oath to the growth in the past two years for Satoransky with the Washington Wizards. But it was time for him to finally move on from the drowning Wizards during the offseason as he signed a three-year contract with the Bulls that was worth $30 million. He could also be the Bulls starting point guard on opening night of the regular season.

What the Bulls need from Satoransky this season is the ability to efficiently command the offense and show out on the perimeter on defense. His length and off-ball awareness will come in handy for Boylen. He and LaVine both stand at least at 6-foot-6, so smaller backcourts that face them could have a tough time on the outside.
