4. Coby White, Point Guard

Gafford and the former North Carolina Tar Heels standout freshman point guard Coby White are putting together quite the preseason start in a Chicago Bulls uniform. Coby got significant playing time for the Bulls in the last two games. He also got a lot of exposure in the Las Vegas Summer League.

From all we can see and hear in Training Camp, the coaching staff likes what White is bringing to the table too. White averages 12.5 points per game, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists, through his two showings thus far. But the problem so far for White in preseason action is the 2-1.5 assist-to-turnover ratio per game.

The effort and pace that Gafford and White are playing with for the Bulls on both ends of the floor sparks what could be ahead for this dynamic duo of rookies. You have to give props to John Paxson and Gar Forman for continuing to thrive at one of the things they actually do well during the offseason, draft.

Continuing to flash his potential in transition and improve in the areas he needs to is the main task at hand for White throughout the preseason. Proving he can handle a spike in playing time early in his rookie season could happen if White becomes more efficient on offense and effective consistently on defense. That starts up again next game against the Pacers.
