1. Cristiano Felicio averages double-digit points
While the recently signed combo guard for the Chicago Bulls Satoransky was plenty impressive in the FIBA World Cup, he was not the only story among players on this roster. Satoransky did lead the Czech Republic to a top six finish in China, though, so he has plenty of momentum heading into the preseason.
Brazilian forward Cristiano Felicio was one of a number of current and former NBA role players that led them to a top 15 finish in the FIBA World Cup in China last month. Felicio and the Brazilian squad were actually ousted in second round pool play by the United States.
Felicio averaged more than five points per game and five rebounds in the World Cup. He was actually competent either off the bench or in the starting five for Brazil. He was able to lock down on capable NBA big men for Brazil on both ends of the floor. The Bulls should be hoping for similar competence out of the eight-million-dollar man that is Felicio this season.
In yet another slate of games that aren’t as meaningful as the NBA regular season, the Bulls could see Felicio excel more so than he usually does. Felicio is one of the worst players on the 20-man Training Camp roster and that might not show through in the preseason. His physical tools can help him at least tread water in the preseason.
