An interesting preseason schedule for the Chicago Bulls starts with the Milwaukee Bucks next Monday and caps with the Atlanta Hawks.

This is the year that this Chicago Bulls rebuild could finally make that leap to playoff contention in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls contending for the playoffs doesn’t mean that they could win an NBA Championship but they could find themselves in the seven or eight seed when it’s all said and done.

Nevertheless, that would be a big step forward to take for this franchise in the upcoming campaign. Just because the Bulls make the playoffs doesn’t mean that the upward trend in the East won’t continue for the next two or three years. Making the playoffs this season would likely take at least 38-40 wins since the East is generally worse and not as deep as the Western Conference.

Raking in 38-40 wins would be more than a 15-win jump from the 22-60 record they registered last season. That’s an immaculate progression in the win column. But it’s amazing what can happen when the Bulls can actually stay healthy for the entirety of a regular season slate.

The preseason slate for the Bulls tips off on Oct. 7 (Monday night) at home at the United Center against the Central Division rival Milwaukee Bucks. This preseason schedule also includes contests against the upstart Atlanta Hawks, New Orleans Pelicans, and Indiana Pacers.

This could be a fun preseason (if health holds up) for the Bulls before the regular season tips off on Oct. 23 on the road at the Spectrum Center against the Charlotte Hornets. But we have to get through the preseason before then.

Here’s a look at the five bold predictions for the Chicago Bulls during the upcoming preseason slate ahead of the start of the 2019-20 regular season.
